Metals are widely used in many industries. They have several properties that are unique and very useful for many applications. Of course, their electrical conductivity, hardness, and durability, as well as their high thermal and thermal conductivity.

Metals such as copper, along with materials such as diamond and highly conductive alloys, are among the materials with the highest thermal conductivity.

For this reason, there aren’t many methods that can accurately determine its conductivity. The LFA technique is one of them.

In this example, the pure metals copper and aluminum were measured using a “Linseis Laser Flash Analyzer (LFA L52).”

The LFA measures thermal conductivity using a combined evaluation model (Dusza).

The measurement results for the two materials are compared with values reported in the literature. The measured results vary by within 2% of the values reported in the literature, demonstrating the high accuracy of the instrument and model over a wide temperature range.
