LINSEIS – PUSHING BOUNDARIES

Linseis - Analyzer We specialize in thermal analysis, dilatometry, thermal conductivity and thermoelectrics.

Thermal analysis

  • can measure heat flow, weight changes, dimensional changes or mechanical properties as a function of temperature, time and atmosphere
  • and provides parameters for melting, glass transitions, crystallization, oxidation, decomposition, evaporation, coefficient of thermal expansion and modulus of elasticity.

Thermal conductivity/ thermal diffusivity

  • can measure transfer properties such as thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity
  • and gives you information about the ability of a material to store and transfer heat or temperature.

Dilatometry

  • can measure dimensional changes in a thermal environment
  • and gives you information about linear thermal expansion, deformation and optical changes during a melting process.

Electrical Properties

  • can measure or determine the electrical resistivity, the Seebeck coefficient, the ZT value and the Hall coefficient
  • and gives you information about the conversion of waste heat into electrical energy and the quality of the thermoelectric material.

Calorimetry

  • Determination of the heat of reaction: Measurement of the heat released or absorbed during chemical reactions.
  • Energy content of nutrients: Direct calorimetry to determine the calorie content.

High pressure measuring devices

  • Thermal properties: Thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, specific heat.
  • Pressure-dependent phenomena: sorption, chemical reactions.

For 50 years

We understand temperatures

How new materials have been steadily improving our quality of life for centuries.

The scientific instruments from Linseis Messgeräte are based on over 50 years of experience in the development of laboratory equipment for materials research.
Our technologies enable the measurement of parameters from classical thermal analysis, e.g. the measurement of weight changes and linear expansion and the determination of thermal conductivity of materials.

Our latest developments meet the requirements of the electronics industry and the thin-film technology technology.
Barely visible to our eyes but essential for use in high-tech components, the composition of thin films, our measuring techniques go down to the micrometer range.
Measuring devices for thermoelectrics determine test parameters in order to use the waste heat from components more efficiently.

Before products are put into everyday use, their properties are extensively analyzed and tested by researchers and quality controllers.
Reliable and consistent measurement results are the basis for predicting the quality and performance promise of a product.

Linseis measuring instruments are used by scientists and engineers in the chemical chemical industry, automotive industry, in the polymer research and in the electronics industry.
Our measuring devices are used today to develop the materials of tomorrow.
