Thermal Analysis Instruments
Thermal analysis is a test method for measuring physical and chemical properties of materials. Linseis provides a wide range of thermal analysis instruments that investigate the properties of materials under specific thermal conditions, e.g. energetic processes (DSC and DTA), mechanical loads (DMA), mass changing processes (TGA), combined measurements of mass and energy (STA) and volume changes (TMA).
These thermal analysis tools have a number of uses within numerous scientific processes. For example, they can be used to measure heat flow within a system or the weight changes of materials under specific conditions. They can be used to conduct gas analysis and to determine mechanical properties of materials as a function of temperature, time and atmosphere. These devices serve critical functions in the pharmaceutical sector, where they can be used to test the characteristics of drugs, and in other industries to characterize food/biologicals, organic chemicals and inorganics. The wide variety of applications that they can serve makes them indispensable in industries where accuracy in readings is essential.
Applications:
- melting
- glass transitions
- crystallization
- oxidation
- decomposition
- volatilization
- coefficient of thermal expansion
- and modulus
