Silicon Germanium alloys are commonly used as semiconductor material in electronics. Furthermore, they are high temperature stable thermoelectric materials and thus are often used under challenging environmental conditions, like space missions or high temperature waste heat recovery.

The LSR measurement of a new developed alloy has been performed in the temperature range from 50 °C to 270 °C and shows an increasing resistivity. The absolute Seebeck coefficient was measured at the same time and here firstly an increase up to about 140 °C and then a decrease of the Seebeck coefficient is recognizable.
