Biyo-bazl\u0131 bir polyester olan PLA, esas olarak m\u0131s\u0131r ni\u015fastas\u0131 veya \u015feker kam\u0131\u015f\u0131 gibi yenilenebilir hammaddelerden elde edilen laktik asitten \u00fcretilmektedir (1). \u00d6zel \u00f6nemi sadece s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir \u00fcretiminde de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda ambalajdan \u00f6zel teknik uygulamalara kadar geni\u015f bir yelpazedeki olas\u0131 uygulamalar\u0131nda yatmaktad\u0131r.    <\/p><p>Petrol bazl\u0131 plastiklerle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, PLA&#8217;n\u0131n karbon ayak izi \u00f6nemli \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde daha d\u00fc\u015f\u00fckt\u00fcr, \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc bitkiler b\u00fcy\u00fcmeleri s\u0131ras\u0131nda CO\u2082&#8217;yi zaten ba\u011flarlar ve bu da sonraki bertaraf s\u0131ras\u0131nda tekrar sal\u0131n\u0131r (1). Bu CO\u2082 n\u00f6trl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc PLA&#8217;y\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir bir plastik end\u00fcstrisi i\u00e7in \u00f6nemli bir yap\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131 haline getirmektedir. Amorf PLA \u015feffaf ve daha esnektir, yar\u0131 kristal PLA ise daha y\u00fcksek mukavemete ve geli\u015fmi\u015f termal stabiliteye sahiptir.
