S\u00fcre\u00e7ler tersine \u00e7evrilebilir. Gerilim farkl\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n s\u0131cakl\u0131k farkl\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131 yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ters s\u00fcre\u00e7, mikroelektronik ve nanoteknolojide so\u011futma i\u00e7in kullan\u0131lan Peltier etkisidir.  <\/p><p>Termoelektrik malzemelerin verimlili\u011fini de\u011ferlendirmek i\u00e7in \u00f6nemli bir \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fc, bir malzemenin performans\u0131n\u0131 tan\u0131mlayan boyutsuz bir g\u00f6sterge olan ZT de\u011feridir. ZT de\u011feri Seebeck katsay\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n karesi, ortalama mutlak \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve elektrik iletkenli\u011fi ile artarken, spesifik termal iletkenlik ile azal\u0131r. Bu de\u011fi\u015fkenler s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011fa ba\u011fl\u0131d\u0131r ve malzeme \u00f6zellikleri, s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131n bir fonksiyonu olarak liyakat rakam\u0131n\u0131n hesaplanmas\u0131na dahil edilmelidir. Bu, pozitif iletkenden negatif iletkene s\u00fcrekli bir elektron ta\u015f\u0131nmas\u0131na yol a\u00e7ar, b\u00f6ylece elektrik enerjisine ek olarak \u0131s\u0131 enerjisi de aktar\u0131l\u0131r. Ancak bu \u0131s\u0131 transferi Seebeck etkisinin verimlili\u011fini azalt\u0131r.   <\/p><p>Kullan\u0131lan malzemenin elektrik iletkenli\u011fi ne kadar y\u00fcksek ve termal iletkenli\u011fi ne kadar d\u00fc\u015f\u00fckse, bir termokuplun verimlili\u011fi de o kadar y\u00fcksek olur. Bir termoelektrik iletkenin \u00f6zellikleri i\u00e7in belirleyici bir kriter <g id=\"gid_0\"><g id=\"gid_1\">&#8220;liyakat fig\u00fcr\u00fc&#8221; (ZT)<\/g><\/g>.
