href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/applikationen\/polymere\/\">\n  <strong>pol\u00edmero<\/strong>\n<\/a>Produzido pela polimeriza\u00e7\u00e3o do estireno.<\/p><p>\u00c9 um material transparente, duro e quebradi\u00e7o que se apresenta sob v\u00e1rias formas, como o poliestireno expandido (EPS) e o poliestireno extrudido (XPS). O poliestireno \u00e9 amplamente utilizado em embalagens, isolamentos, contentores e outros produtos de uso quotidiano.<br>\u00c9 imperme\u00e1vel, quimicamente inerte e resistente a \u00e1cidos e bases, mas sens\u00edvel a solventes org\u00e2nicos. Esta regularidade permite que as mol\u00e9culas se agrupem facilmente em cristais, resultando na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de uma estrutura cristalina. <\/p><p>A cristalinidade do poliestireno sindiot\u00e1ctico conduz a uma temperatura de fus\u00e3o mais elevada. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/pt-pt\/?p=103232\">\n  <strong>temperatura de fus\u00e3o<\/strong>\n<\/a> e maior rigidez em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o poliestireno at\u00e1ctico.<\/p><p>No entanto, \u00e9 importante notar que nenhum pol\u00edmero \u00e9 totalmente cristalino, uma vez que um pol\u00edmero totalmente cristalino seria demasiado fr\u00e1gil para ser utilizado como pl\u00e1stico. O poliestireno isot\u00e1ctico, que tem uma estrutura regular, tem um <g id=\"gid_1\">ponto<\/g> de <g id=\"gid_1\">fus\u00e3o<\/g> de cerca de 240 \u00b0C, enquanto o poliestireno sindiot\u00e1ctico, que tamb\u00e9m tem uma estrutura regular, tem um <g id=\"gid_2\">ponto de fus\u00e3o<\/g> ligeiramente superior, de cerca de 270 \u00b0C. Este ponto de fus\u00e3o pode ser medido com um <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/methoden\/dynamische-differenz-kalorimetrie\/\">\n  <strong>calor\u00edmetro diferencial de varrimento (DSC)<\/strong>\n<\/a> que permite determinar com exatid\u00e3o a temperatura de fus\u00e3o e outras propriedades t\u00e9rmicas dos materiais.  <\/p><p>O poliestireno amorfo, que n\u00e3o tem uma estrutura regular, n\u00e3o funde a uma temperatura espec\u00edfica, mas amolece gradualmente a partir de cerca de 100 \u00b0C, o que \u00e9 conhecido como a <strong>temperatura de transi\u00e7\u00e3o v\u00edtrea<\/strong>. Estas diferen\u00e7as na <strong>temperatura de fus\u00e3o<\/strong> est\u00e3o relacionadas com o arranjo molecular e <strong>a cristalinidade<\/strong> do poliestireno. <\/p><p>O poliestireno s\u00f3lido puro \u00e9 incolor, duro e tem uma flexibilidade limitada. Pode ser moldado em moldes com detalhes finos e pode ser transparente ou em diferentes cores. \u00c9 econ\u00f3mico e \u00e9 utilizado para o fabrico de kits de modelos de pl\u00e1stico, molduras de matr\u00edculas, talheres de pl\u00e1stico, caixas de CD, para fazer modelos, como material alternativo para discos e muitos outros objectos em que se pretende um pl\u00e1stico bastante r\u00edgido e econ\u00f3mico.  <\/p><p>O poliestireno pode apresentar-se sob a forma s\u00f3lida ou de espuma. O poliestireno puro n\u00e3o \u00e9 est\u00e1vel a altas temperaturas e tende a decompor-se termicamente. <\/p><p>No entanto, a <strong>estabilidade<\/strong> <strong>t\u00e9rmica<\/strong> pode ser melhorada atrav\u00e9s da adi\u00e7\u00e3o de estabilizadores. O poliestireno isot\u00e1ctico, que tem uma estrutura regular, \u00e9 geralmente mais est\u00e1vel termicamente do que o poliestireno amorfo. <\/p><p>A <strong>estabilidade<\/strong> <strong>t\u00e9rmica<\/strong> do poliestireno pode ser medida utilizando v\u00e1rios m\u00e9todos, incluindo um <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/messgeraete\/dsc-dynamische-differenz-kalorimetrie\/chip-dsc-l66-basic\/\">\n  <strong>chip DSC (DSC)<\/strong>\n<\/a> ou por uma <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/methoden\/thermogravimetrie\/\">\n  <strong>an\u00e1lise termogravim\u00e9trica (TGA)<\/strong>\n<\/a> utilizando um <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/messgeraete\/thermische-analyse\/sta-simultane-thermische-analyse\/sta-l82\/\">STA L82<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p><p>O <strong>m\u00e9todo DSC<\/strong> mede a quantidade de calor que um material absorve ou liberta durante um aumento controlado da temperatura, permitindo assim a determina\u00e7\u00e3o dos <strong>pontos de fus\u00e3o e de amolecimento<\/strong>, bem como a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o de transi\u00e7\u00f5es de fase e reac\u00e7\u00f5es.
