<sub>(cp<\/sub>)<\/strong>\n<\/a>frequentemente designada por calor espec\u00edfico, \u00e9 uma propriedade termof\u00edsica fundamental de um material. Diz algo sobre a capacidade de armazenar energia t\u00e9rmica. Indica a quantidade de calor que deve ser adicionada a um grama de massa de uma subst\u00e2ncia para aumentar a sua temperatura em um Kelvin. N\u00e3o deve ocorrer nenhuma transforma\u00e7\u00e3o de fase de primeira ordem (por exemplo, fus\u00e3o), uma vez que o cp pode ser infinitamente grande neste caso e, por conseguinte, n\u00e3o pode ser medido durante a mesma.   <\/p><p><strong>A unidade SI da capacidade t\u00e9rmica espec\u00edfica \u00e9 o Joule por grama vezes Kelvin [J\/g*K)].<\/strong><\/p><p>Em geral, a capacidade t\u00e9rmica espec\u00edfica pode ser <strong>dividida<\/strong> <strong>numa<\/strong> <strong>capacidade t\u00e9rmica<\/strong> <strong>isob\u00e1rica<\/strong> <strong>(cp; a<\/strong> <strong>press\u00e3o<\/strong> <strong>constante<\/strong> <strong>)<\/strong> <strong>e<\/strong> <strong>numa<\/strong> <strong>capacidade t\u00e9rmica<\/strong> <strong>isoc\u00f3rica<\/strong> <strong>(cV,<\/strong> <strong>a<\/strong> <strong>volume<\/strong> <strong>constante<\/strong> <strong>)<\/strong> com base na entrada de calor. Enquanto a volume constante a quantidade de calor \u00e9 completamente utilizada para aumentar a temperatura, a press\u00e3o constante parte do calor \u00e9 necess\u00e1ria para a mudan\u00e7a de volume. Este facto deve ser tido em conta na medi\u00e7\u00e3o de gases e vapores.  <\/p><p>Com um valor grande de Cp, uma certa quantidade de calor leva apenas a um pequeno aumento de temperatura, enquanto que se o valor for pequeno, a mesma quantidade de calor pode causar um aumento maior de temperatura. Para tal, a amostra e a refer\u00eancia s\u00e3o submetidas a um programa din\u00e2mico de temperatura no forno DSC. A diferen\u00e7a de temperatura que se forma entre a amostra e a diferen\u00e7a \u00e9 atribu\u00edda a um fluxo de calor ap\u00f3s uma calibra\u00e7\u00e3o adequada. Est\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis diferentes m\u00e9todos de medi\u00e7\u00e3o.   <\/p><p>Com o<strong> m\u00e9todo direto, o cp \u00e9 calculado<sub>diretamente <\/sub>a partir do fluxo de calor dividido pela taxa de aquecimento e pela massa da amostra.<\/strong> O m\u00e9todo \u00e9 r\u00e1pido, mas n\u00e3o muito exato. Estas incertezas devem ser tidas em conta na an\u00e1lise do erro. <br><br>\u00c9 tamb\u00e9m de notar que <strong>a sensibilidade da medi\u00e7\u00e3o diminui com o aumento da temperatura<\/strong>. O fluxo de calor medido (sinal DSC) da amostra tamb\u00e9m est\u00e1 sujeito a erros.
