O dilat\u00f3metro foi concebido de modo a poder medir a temperaturas at\u00e9 1600 \u00b0C e a alto v\u00e1cuo (aprox. 5 E-5 mbar). Juntamente com os microsc\u00f3pios de fase quente, t\u00eam uma vasta gama de aplica\u00e7\u00f5es, fundamentais no desenvolvimento de materiais e processos. S\u00e3o utilizados, por exemplo, para determinar processos de sinteriza\u00e7\u00e3o e o comportamento da expans\u00e3o t\u00e9rmica, especialmente com materiais anisotr\u00f3picos ou fr\u00e1geis e amostras com geometrias complexas. Opticamente, o comportamento de molhagem e espalhamento em diferentes substratos, atrav\u00e9s do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/startseite\/messgroessen\/kontaktwinkel\/\">\n  <strong>\u00e2ngulo de contacto<\/strong>\n<\/a> que permite determinar a tens\u00e3o superficial at\u00e9 temperaturas elevadas. \u00c9 tamb\u00e9m poss\u00edvel analisar a corros\u00e3o por contacto entre metal fundido e vidro, esc\u00f3ria fundida e cinzas em contacto com materiais cer\u00e2micos e met\u00e1licos. Outra possibilidade importante \u00e9 a carateriza\u00e7\u00e3o da infiltra\u00e7\u00e3o, por exemplo, de metal fundido em materiais cer\u00e2micos. O novo dilat\u00f3metro \u00f3tico permite a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o do comportamento de fus\u00e3o e humedecimento em substratos cer\u00e2micos de materiais de solda com componentes de solda afins ao oxig\u00e9nio, como o tit\u00e2nio. Com os microsc\u00f3pios de fase quente convencionais, a oxida\u00e7\u00e3o da superf\u00edcie ocorre devido \u00e0 presen\u00e7a de oxig\u00e9nio residual, o que dificulta a molhagem do substrato pela solda ou leva a resultados de teste falsos.
