farmac\u00eautica e m\u00e9dica para monitorizar quantitativamente o comportamento da humidade e a estabilidade de materiais como as c\u00e1psulas de gelatina em condi\u00e7\u00f5es reais de armazenamento. Especialmente no caso de materiais higrosc\u00f3picos como a gelatina, o conhecimento do teor de humidade \u00e9 crucial, uma vez que este tem uma influ\u00eancia significativa na resist\u00eancia da c\u00e1psula, nas propriedades de liberta\u00e7\u00e3o e na estabilidade geral durante o armazenamento e o transporte (1). A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/messgeraete\/tga-thermogravimetrie\/tga-l83\/\">\n  <strong>TGA<\/strong>\n<\/a> mede continuamente a altera\u00e7\u00e3o de massa de uma amostra a um aumento controlado de temperatura, permitindo assim uma carateriza\u00e7\u00e3o precisa das propriedades t\u00e9rmicas dos materiais farmac\u00eauticos. No caso das c\u00e1psulas de gelatina, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel determinar com exatid\u00e3o a quantidade de \u00e1gua contida em diferentes tipos de aglutina\u00e7\u00e3o e a forma como esta humidade se evapora quando aquecida ou durante o armazenamento a longo prazo. A humidade residual ideal para as c\u00e1psulas de gelatina situa-se idealmente entre 12-16%, o que lhes confere a flexibilidade e a elasticidade necess\u00e1rias e actua como um plastificante natural para a matriz de gelatina (4). Durante um per\u00edodo de armazenamento de tr\u00eas meses, a TGA pode ser utilizada para monitorizar quantitativamente a forma como a humidade residual \u00e9 perdida ou absorvida em diferentes condi\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais. Estudos publicados mostram que a humidade residual da c\u00e1psula de gelatina aumenta significativamente ap\u00f3s apenas 24 horas sob humidade elevada e as propriedades do material s\u00e3o afectadas.
