As amostras de diamante CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) atingem normalmente valores entre 1000 e 2200 W\/mK <sup>[1,2]<\/sup>, sendo que amostras raras e de elevada pureza chegam mesmo a atingir 3320 W\/mK. [ <sup>2,3]<\/sup> Esta propriedade torna o diamante um candidato ideal para a dissipa\u00e7\u00e3o de calor em eletr\u00f3nica de alto desempenho, sistemas laser e outras aplica\u00e7\u00f5es que requerem uma gest\u00e3o t\u00e9rmica eficiente. Baixa massa at\u00f3mica:<\/b> Os \u00e1tomos de carbono s\u00e3o relativamente leves, pelo que podem vibrar rapidamente, o que facilita a r\u00e1pida transfer\u00eancia de calor atrav\u00e9s das vibra\u00e7\u00f5es da rede, tamb\u00e9m conhecidas como f\u00f3nons, que transportam o calor rapidamente.<\/p><p><b>3.<\/b> Alta velocidade dos f\u00f3nons <b>:<\/b> Alta velocidade dos f\u00f3nons devido \u00e0 sua rigidez e \u00e0s fortes for\u00e7as interat\u00f3micas. Isto permite que a energia t\u00e9rmica viaje mais rapidamente atrav\u00e9s da rede. <\/p><p><b>4.<\/b> <b>Alta temperatura de Debye:<\/b> A estrutura do diamante suporta vibra\u00e7\u00f5es de alta frequ\u00eancia, mesmo a altas temperaturas, e assim mant\u00e9m a condutividade t\u00e9rmica.<sup> [4]<\/sup><\/p><p><b>5. O TF-LFA utiliza um laser modulado para induzir um aquecimento localizado na amostra e mede a resposta de termorreflect\u00e2ncia do material a diferentes frequ\u00eancias de modula\u00e7\u00e3o.
