href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/applikationen\/polymere\/\">\n  <strong>polimero<\/strong>\n<\/a>prodotto dalla polimerizzazione dello stirene.<\/p><p>\u00c8 un materiale trasparente, duro e fragile che si presenta in varie forme, come il polistirene espanso (EPS) e il polistirene estruso (XPS). Il polistirene \u00e8 ampiamente utilizzato per imballaggi, isolamenti, contenitori e altri prodotti di uso quotidiano.<br>\u00c8 impermeabile, chimicamente inerte e resistente agli acidi e alle basi, ma sensibile ai solventi organici. Questa regolarit\u00e0 permette alle molecole di impacchettarsi facilmente in cristalli, dando luogo alla formazione di una struttura cristallina. <\/p><p>La cristallinit\u00e0 del polistirene sindiotattico comporta una temperatura di fusione pi\u00f9 elevata. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/it\/?p=100057\">\n  <strong>temperatura di fusione<\/strong>\n<\/a> e una maggiore rigidit\u00e0 rispetto al polistirene atattico.<\/p><p>Tuttavia, \u00e8 importante notare che nessun polimero \u00e8 completamente cristallino, poich\u00e9 un polimero completamente cristallino sarebbe troppo fragile per essere utilizzato come plastica. Il polistirene isotattico, che ha una struttura regolare, ha un <g id=\"gid_1\">punto di fusione<\/g> di circa 240 \u00b0C, mentre il polistirene sindiotattico, che ha anch&#8217;esso una struttura regolare, ha un <g id=\"gid_2\">punto di fusione<\/g> leggermente pi\u00f9 alto, pari a circa 270 \u00b0C. Questo punto di fusione pu\u00f2 essere misurato con un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/methoden\/dynamische-differenz-kalorimetrie\/\">\n  <strong>calorimetro a scansione differenziale (DSC)<\/strong>\n<\/a> che permette di determinare con precisione la temperatura di fusione e le altre propriet\u00e0 termiche dei materiali.  <\/p><p>Il polistirene amorfo, che non ha una struttura regolare, non fonde a una temperatura specifica, ma si ammorbidisce gradualmente a partire da circa 100 \u00b0C, <strong>temperatura<\/strong> nota come <strong>temperatura di transizione vetrosa<\/strong>. Queste differenze nella <strong>temperatura di fusione<\/strong> sono legate alla disposizione molecolare e alla <strong>cristallinit\u00e0<\/strong> del polistirene. <\/p><p>Il polistirene solido puro \u00e8 incolore, duro e ha una flessibilit\u00e0 limitata. Pu\u00f2 essere colato in stampi con dettagli precisi e pu\u00f2 essere reso trasparente o in diversi colori. \u00c8 economico e viene utilizzato per la produzione di kit di modellini in plastica, cornici per targhe, posate in plastica, custodie per CD, per la realizzazione di modellini, come materiale alternativo per i dischi e per molti altri oggetti in cui si desidera una plastica abbastanza rigida ed economica.  <\/p><p>Il polistirene pu\u00f2 essere in forma solida o espansa. Il polistirene puro non \u00e8 stabile alle alte temperature e tende a decomporsi termicamente. <\/p><p>Tuttavia, la <strong>stabilit\u00e0<\/strong> <strong>termica<\/strong> pu\u00f2 essere migliorata con l&#8217;aggiunta di stabilizzatori. Il polistirene isotattico, che ha una struttura regolare, \u00e8 generalmente pi\u00f9 stabile termicamente del polistirene amorfo. <\/p><p>La <strong>stabilit\u00e0<\/strong> <strong>termica<\/strong> del polistirene pu\u00f2 essere misurata con diversi metodi, tra cui il <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/messgeraete\/dsc-dynamische-differenz-kalorimetrie\/chip-dsc-l66-basic\/\">\n  <strong>chip DSC (DSC)<\/strong>\n<\/a> o con un&#8217;analisi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/methoden\/thermogravimetrie\/\">\n  <strong>analisi termogravimetrica (TGA)<\/strong>\n<\/a> utilizzando uno <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/messgeraete\/thermische-analyse\/sta-simultane-thermische-analyse\/sta-l82\/\">STA L82<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p><p>Il <strong>metodo DSC<\/strong> misura la quantit\u00e0 di calore che un materiale assorbe o rilascia durante un aumento controllato della temperatura e consente quindi di determinare i <strong>punti di fusione e di rammollimento<\/strong>, nonch\u00e9 di studiare le transizioni di fase e le reazioni.
