Questo volume riempie il volume utile del recipiente (0,7 mL) e i tubi di riempimento. Una leggera contropressione viene applicata al campione all&#8217;ingresso (circa 2 bar) per trattenerlo durante la misurazione e consentire al campione di espandersi durante la rampa di riscaldamento. Il microcalorimetro Ultimate \u00e8 stato programmato come segue: un&#8217;isoterma di 40 minuti a 5\u00b0C, seguita da una rampa di riscaldamento tra 5\u00b0C e 73\u00b0C a 1\u00b0C\/minuto e un&#8217;altra isoterma di 40 minuti a 73\u00b0C. In totale sono stati eseguiti 4 esperimenti di durata inferiore a 2,5 ore: con acqua, etanolo assoluto, cicloesano e un esperimento in bianco che \u00e8 stato sottratto dagli altri termogrammi.
