<strong>poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne basse densit\u00e9 (PEBD)<\/strong> est un polym\u00e8re thermoplastique fabriqu\u00e9 \u00e0 partir du monom\u00e8re \u00e9thyl\u00e8ne.<br \/>Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un plastique hautement ramifi\u00e9, ce qui lui conf\u00e8re une faible densit\u00e9, ainsi qu&rsquo;une duret\u00e9, une rigidit\u00e9 et un taux de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/fr\/connaissance\/point-de-fusion-cristallisation-et-transition-vitreuse-des-polymeres\/\">\u00a0<strong>temp\u00e9rature de fusion<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p><p>Le <strong>PEBD<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 produit pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1933 par le Dr John C. Swallow et M.W. Perrin de l&rsquo;Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 haute pression par polym\u00e9risation radicalaire.<br \/>Cette m\u00e9thode de production n\u00e9cessite de la chaleur et de la pression et est r\u00e9alis\u00e9e dans des autoclaves ou des r\u00e9acteurs tubulaires en grandes quantit\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Malgr\u00e9 la concurrence de polym\u00e8res plus modernes, le <strong>PEBD<\/strong> reste un plastique important.<br \/>Il est utilis\u00e9 dans une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d&rsquo;applications, notamment les conteneurs en plastique, les tuyaux, les articles m\u00e9nagers, les bo\u00eetiers de batterie, les pi\u00e8ces automobiles, les composants \u00e9lectriques, les films, l&#8217;emballage, l&rsquo;isolation et les dispositifs m\u00e9dicaux.<\/p><p>Le <strong>PEBD<\/strong> est populaire en raison de sa flexibilit\u00e9, de sa faible <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/fr\/connaissance\/cristallisation-et-recristallisation-des-polymeres\/\"><strong>cristallinit\u00e9 <\/strong><\/a>sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la corrosion.<br \/>C&rsquo;est un polym\u00e8re transparent, inodore et 100 % recyclable, utilis\u00e9 dans des produits tels que les sacs alimentaires et les sacs poubelles, les films, les emballages, les plateaux, les anneaux de six packs pour les canettes de boissons, les tuyaux, les proth\u00e8ses, les bouteilles de lavage, les bacs \u00e0 gla\u00e7ons et les pi\u00e8ces moul\u00e9es ramification lui conf\u00e8re une faible densit\u00e9 ainsi qu&rsquo;une duret\u00e9, une rigidit\u00e9 et une temp\u00e9rature de fusion inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 celles des autres types de poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne. <\/p>\n<p>En raison de sa faible <strong>cristallinit\u00e9<\/strong>, le <strong>PEBD<\/strong> est un polym\u00e8re amorphe, ce qui signifie qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;a pas de structure cristalline r\u00e9guli\u00e8re.\nIl se compose plut\u00f4t d&rsquo;un arrangement irr\u00e9gulier de cha\u00eenes de polym\u00e8res, ce qui donne une structure amorphe et non cristalline. <\/p>\n<p>Cette faible <strong>cristallinit\u00e9<\/strong> conf\u00e8re au <strong>PEBD<\/strong> sa souplesse et sa r\u00e9sistance caract\u00e9ristiques, ce qui le rend adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 des applications telles que les films, les emballages et les conteneurs.\nLa <strong>cristallinit\u00e9<\/strong> <strong>du<\/strong> <strong>PEBD<\/strong> peut \u00eatre mesur\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un calorim\u00e8tre \u00e0 balayage diff\u00e9rentiel (DSC), qui mesure la quantit\u00e9 de chaleur qu&rsquo;un mat\u00e9riau absorbe ou lib\u00e8re lors d&rsquo;une augmentation contr\u00f4l\u00e9e de la temp\u00e9rature, ce qui permet de d\u00e9terminer les points de fusion et de ramollissement et d&rsquo;\u00e9tudier les transitions de phase. <\/p>\n<p>Le <strong>PEBD<\/strong> ayant une faible <strong>cristallinit\u00e9<\/strong>, il fond \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures plus basses que les polym\u00e8res hautement cristallins, ce qui le rend adapt\u00e9 <strong>fusion<\/strong> <strong>du PEBD<\/strong> peut \u00eatre mesur\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un calorim\u00e8tre \u00e0 balayage diff\u00e9rentiel (DSC). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linseis.com\/fr\/produits\/dsc-differential-scanning-calorimetry\/\"><strong>Calorim\u00e8tre diff\u00e9rentiel \u00e0 balayage (DSC) <\/strong><\/a>qui mesure la quantit\u00e9 de chaleur qu&rsquo;un mat\u00e9riau absorbe ou lib\u00e8re lors d&rsquo;une augmentation contr\u00f4l\u00e9e de la temp\u00e9rature, ce qui permet de d\u00e9terminer les points de fusion et de ramollissement.<\/p><p><strong>Le PEBD<\/strong> est un mat\u00e9riau tr\u00e8s souple qui pr\u00e9sente des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s d&rsquo;\u00e9coulement uniques, ce qui le rend particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 des applications telles que les sacs \u00e0 provisions et d&rsquo;autres films plastiques.<br \/>Un exemple notable est la production de films r\u00e9tractables.<\/p><p>Lors de la fabrication de ces films, le <strong>PEBD<\/strong> est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement chauff\u00e9 \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures proches de son point de fusion, souvent autour de 110\u00b0C.<br \/>Dans cet \u00e9tat, le mat\u00e9riau devient extensible et facilement moulable.<br \/>Une fois que le film a pris la forme souhait\u00e9e, il est rapidement refroidi pour fixer sa structure.<\/p><p>Lorsqu&rsquo;il est expos\u00e9 \u00e0 une source de chaleur, telle qu&rsquo;un pistolet thermique, le film r\u00e9tractable LDPE commence \u00e0 se r\u00e9tracter \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures comprises entre 90\u00b0C et 110\u00b0C environ.<br \/>Ce processus de r\u00e9traction permet de cr\u00e9er un emballage protecteur bien ajust\u00e9 pour les
