Elle regroupe l&rsquo;ensemble de la mati\u00e8re organique d&rsquo;origine v\u00e9g\u00e9tale, animale ou microbienne pr\u00e9sente dans un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me donn\u00e9 \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9. La valorisation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et mat\u00e9rielle de la biomasse permet de r\u00e9duire les sources d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie fossile et contribue de mani\u00e8re significative \u00e0 la d\u00e9carbonisation et \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie circulaire [Osman et al., 2021].  <\/p><p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Les multiples facettes de la biomasse &#8211; des r\u00e9sidus ligneux aux d\u00e9chets agricoles en passant par les fractions mixtes biog\u00e8nes &#8211; posent diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9fis techniques, environnementaux et \u00e9conomiques [Mahapatra et al., 2021]. Les additifs tels que l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9, les cendres, l&rsquo;azote et le soufre influencent la qualit\u00e9 de la combustion, les \u00e9missions et le rendement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Le reste sert \u00e0 la valorisation mati\u00e8re ou est utilis\u00e9 comme substrat pour la production de gaz de synth\u00e8se et d&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne [DBFZ, 2025]. <\/p><p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">D&rsquo;un point de vue politique et strat\u00e9gique, l&rsquo;accent est mis sur l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration durable des syst\u00e8mes.
