m\u00e9rite appara\u00eet sous le nom de ZT.<\/p><p>Une diff\u00e9rence de temp\u00e9rature aux extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s d&rsquo;un conducteur \u00e9lectrique provoque une tension \u00e9lectrique dans ce conducteur.<br \/>Cette liaison a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crite pour la premi\u00e8re fois par Thomas Johann Seebeck.<br \/>C&rsquo;est pourquoi on l&rsquo;appelle l&rsquo;effet Seebeck.<br \/>La tension \u00e9lectrique par des g\u00e9n\u00e9rateurs thermo\u00e9lectriques.<\/strong>  Les processus sont r\u00e9versibles.<\/p>\n<p>Le processus inverse, dans lequel les diff\u00e9rences de temp\u00e9rature sont produites par des diff\u00e9rences de tension, est l&rsquo;effet Peltier.\nIl est utilis\u00e9, par exemple, pour refroidir ou chauffer en micro\u00e9lectronique et en nanotechnologie. <\/p>\n<p>La valeur ZT est un indice sans dimension.\nElle cro\u00eet avec le carr\u00e9 du coefficient Seebeck, avec la temp\u00e9rature moyenne absolue de fonctionnement et avec la conductivit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique.\nElle diminue avec la conductivit\u00e9 thermique sp\u00e9cifique.\nTous ces facteurs d\u00e9pendent de la temp\u00e9rature.\nCela complique le calcul de la valeur
