Il est tr\u00e8s important de conna\u00eetre la vitesse et la temp\u00e9rature de frittage id\u00e9ales. Outre la simulation, la mesure et l&rsquo;optimisation exp\u00e9rimentale des conditions de frittage sont des techniques fr\u00e9quemment utilis\u00e9es. En utilisant le logiciel optionnel RCS (Rate Controlled Sintering), il est possible de programmer le frittage contr\u00f4l\u00e9 avec un dilatom\u00e8tre selon la th\u00e9orie de PALMOUR III. L&rsquo;application suivante illustre le processus de frittage de corps verts en ZrO<sub>2<\/sub>, une mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re c\u00e9ramique typique.<\/p><p>Dans cette exp\u00e9rience, le taux de frittage a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9fini par le logiciel RCS et programm\u00e9 pour \u00eatre maintenu constant. La courbe rouge indique la temp\u00e9rature de l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon et donc le taux de chauffage. Les courbes bleue et verte indiquent la variation de longueur, la courbe violette \u00e9tant la d\u00e9riv\u00e9e de la variation de longueur. L&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon a \u00e9t\u00e9 chauff\u00e9 lin\u00e9airement dans un dilatom\u00e8tre horizontal L75. Apr\u00e8s 50 minutes, le processus de frittage a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 environ 900 \u00b0C. Le logiciel RCS a augment\u00e9 la vitesse de chauffage pour obtenir un frittage lin\u00e9aire, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce que la vitesse de frittage diminue consid\u00e9rablement apr\u00e8s environ 60 minutes. Tous les aciers sont principalement constitu\u00e9s de fer, ce qui signifie que la plupart des v\u00e9hicules et des b\u00e2timents sont plus ou moins en fer. Les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques du fer en font un mat\u00e9riau id\u00e9al pour tous ces usages. Il est tr\u00e8s dur, stable, facile \u00e0 manipuler et peut \u00eatre forg\u00e9 \u00e0 feu ouvert. La plupart des aciers contiennent plusieurs autres m\u00e9taux et du carbone en quantit\u00e9s variables, ce qui leur conf\u00e8re de nombreuses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s telles que la couleur, la duret\u00e9, la r\u00e9sistance chimique et bien plus encore. Le fer est bien s\u00fbr l&rsquo;un des mat\u00e9riaux les plus connus et l&rsquo;analyse du fer et des aciers est plus ou moins l&rsquo;une des applications les plus courantes de l&rsquo;analyse thermique.   <\/p>\n<p>Cette mesure illustre la dilatation thermique lin\u00e9aire (rel. \u0394L &#8211; courbe rouge) et le coefficient de dilatation thermique CTE (courbe bleue) de l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon de fer sous atmosph\u00e8re d&rsquo;argon. Le taux de chauffage \u00e9tait de 5 K\/min. Au-dessus de 736,3 \u00b0C (maximum du CTE), on constate un r\u00e9tr\u00e9cissement d\u00fb \u00e0 un effet de changement de phase, \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de point de Curie.
