utilisations du pl\u00e2tre en tant que mat\u00e9riau de construction.\nLe pl\u00e2tre est une poudre s\u00e8che qui est m\u00e9lang\u00e9e \u00e0 de l&rsquo;eau pour former une p\u00e2te qui durcit ensuite.\nIl reste assez mou apr\u00e8s s\u00e9chage et peut \u00eatre facilement travaill\u00e9 avec des outils m\u00e9talliques.\nLe sulfate de calcium semi-hydrat\u00e9 (CaSO<sub>4<\/sub> \u2219 \u00bdH<sub>2<\/sub>O) r\u00e9agit avec l&rsquo;eau pour former du sulfate de calcium dihydrat\u00e9 et, \u00e0 l&rsquo;inverse, le sulfate de calcium dihydrat\u00e9 s\u00e9pare l&rsquo;eau sous chauffage et l&rsquo;\u00e9change contre du sulfate de calcium semi-hydrat\u00e9.\nLe caract\u00e8re clivable du CaSO<sub>4<\/sub> \u2219 2H<sub>2<\/sub>O cristallin est caus\u00e9 par des bicouches de <sub>CaSO4<\/sub>(dans chaque couche, les ions <sub>Ca2<\/sub> + et <sub>SO4<\/sub> 2 sont alternativement c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te) avec des liaisons hydrog\u00e8ne relativement produit entre 100 \u00b0C et 300 \u00b0C.\nLa premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape est la formation d&rsquo;un semi-hydrate (CaSO<sub>4<\/sub> \u2219 2H<sub>2<\/sub>O en CaSO<sub>4<\/sub> \u2219 \u00bdH<sub>2<\/sub>O).\nUne autre d\u00e9shydratation forme l&rsquo;anhydrate (CaSO<sub>4<\/sub> \u00bd H<sub>2<\/sub>Oen CaSO<sub>4<\/sub>).\nAvec un effet exothermique \u00e0 environ 340 \u00b0C, l&rsquo;anhydride se transforme en sulfate de calcium \u03b2.\nL&rsquo;effet exothermique dans la courbe \u00e0 environ 1220 \u00b0C est la conversion du sulfate de \u03b2-calcium en sulfate de \u03b1-calcium.\nLa d\u00e9composition du sulfate se traduit par une nouvelle perte de masse \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 1250 \u00b0C.\nLe sulfate de calcium est transform\u00e9 en oxyde de calcium.\nLa fusion d&rsquo;un m\u00e9lange eutectique de sulfate de calcium et d&rsquo;oxyde de calcium est le pic \u00e0 1380
